The BGL HMZ lock nut secures bearings, gears and pulleys on shafts when used with adapter sleeves. It is locked in place with an MB lock washer or MS lock to resist loosening. The nut is made of nodular cast iron, which supports smoother tightening and lowers the risk of seizing during disassembly. Depending on the application, it is available in carbon steel or stainless steel.
